The Thunderdome Era

Arguably, the WWE has been through 6 Era's:

1. The Golden Era
2. The New Generation
3. The Attitude
4. Ruthless Aggression
5. The PG
6. The Reality.

But, now the 7th Era will be seemingly marked as the Empty Arena/Thunderdome Era or at least it should be. Although WWE lists the latest era as just "the new era" starting in 2016 when Shayne returned and was forced to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and when the New Guard of Roman Reigns finally conquered the Old Guard of Triple H, so I could understand why this would be considered the beginning of a new era.

Also, since this so called "new era" began, we had seen Taker suffer his 2nd Wrestlemania loss, Goldberg and Daniel Bryan came out of retirement, Women headlined Wrestlemania, as well as Kofi Winning the WWE Championship. So, while some interesting things have transpired, I don't think it's enough to usher in a brand new era just yet.

However, I think if we begin the New Era at the end of Wrestlemania 36 in 2020, and call it the Empty Arena /Thunderdome Era then it would be much more fitting, not just because of the striking of Covid but because of the changes we have seen because of it.
