Goldberg returned to challenge Drew Mcintyre for the Raw World Championship at the Royal Rumble and the WWE Universe on social media is not having it. Most people are calling Goldberg, "oldberg" because they are tired of seeing retired, part-time legends coming back and taking the gold and thunder off superstars right in time for Mania.
Goldberg has done this twice already, Batista tried and The Rock did it to CM Punk. Most people do not want to see Goldberg win the title at the Royal Rumble and hope to god that WWE has enough sense not to make this happen.
However, what they could be doing is setting up a Goldberg vs. Randy Orton feud for Wrestlemania. This makes all the sense in the world which I'll go into in another article.
Other than Orton running around the back trying to intimidate legends (which was funny) and beating Jeff Hardy in the ring, not much else moved the story arc further on the road to Wrestlemania.
But, the most interesting thing that happened on Legend's not was Randy Orton mentioning that something has changed inside of him since facing Bray Wyatt.
What that change ends up manifesting as doesn't seem quite sure. It seems Orton was gonna return to his Legend Killer persona but he didn't exactly attack any legends.
It seems the only reason they gave us to tune in next week is too see what Orton is going to do and if the Fiend will show up at all.
